Wayne Dyer was a famous motivational speaker and author. He passed away yesterday August 29, 2015 at age 75.
I had come across some of his material in the past and got some value from it, but I found it to be too spiritual/ "Woo woo" for my taste. That said, I know he touched millions of lives and had quite an impact. He will certainly be missed. R.I.P. Dr. Dyer's lecture, "Inspiration" is really good.

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is one of the best self-development/success books ever written. It has staying power (Originally published in 1937). If you ask nearly anyone who is into self-improvement, getting wealthy, or who studies success what books impacted them most, the majority would have Think and Grow Rich on their list. It's a classic for a reason and anyone serious about getting rich/successful should read it. Here's a free PDF:
If you want modern examples, you can purchase an updated version really cheap. I like both the original and the updated version above. The updated version makes it easier to grasp and get excited about with stories of people I've actually heard of. (The original has some people like Henry Ford that I've heard of but also a lot that I haven't.)
I'm going to re-read Think And Grow Rich again soon and maybe I'll do a comprehensive review/breakdown eventually. I highly recommend giving it a read, yourself. Gary Vaynerchuck is the man. I plan on writing up an in-depth post on him for A Journey To Better but I just had to share his latest short film, Hard Work & Patience. Gary is an inspiration and a super hard worker.
